About Me

|
My name is Heather! I'm about to turn 27. I'm the mom to a beautiful 5 year old daughter named Kali, a gorgeous 8 year old, future-stepdaughter named Tristan, and a spoiled baby girl named Sofie. My fiance is Wezul, and let me tell ya... he's a character!

 And finally, myself!

I live in Bowling Green, KY, and I've been here pretty much all my life. Honestly, it's not for me as much. I'm a country girl with big city dreams, as they say. I'm currently going to be starting culinary school, and after that I would dearly love to move somewhere larger to start work, and/or start my own restaurant.

When it comes to cooking and feeding my family, I strive to go organic. Sadly, living in a place like Bowling Green, Ky makes that hard to do sometimes. I believe that everyone should take a step back and ask them selves, "What is in and on the food I eat?" If you look at the packaging and you can't even begin to pronounce the ingredients, then why would you want to eat it? If you are what you eat, then I want to know what I'm eating! We have to instill good eating habits in today's youth, and we can do that by leading by example! Childhood diabetes and obesity is running rampant throughout the US.

I started this blog as a way to keep tabs on all my thoughts and recipes. It didn't really take off and so I faltered a little along the way. I am here now though, and trying to make this blog a success! I want to make this blog more food oriented. I love all things food! I'm sure I'll have a lot more to post when I start culinary school. I plan to teach all my readers new things as I learn them!
Ok, Ok, I've rambled on enough. I hope that you like what I've got here, and that you keep coming back!

Remember... Do your part! Make food safe, from farm to fork!
